 (entrant for Equus Film Festival)

I am very much an eclectic artist and work in various mediums. Horses are naturally my first love for many reasons and are my greatest muse, especially my Andalusian stallion. I feel totally at one with horses. Living in the country also inspires me, from the landscape, the way of life, the ups and downs right down to the simple rock. I have found, however, that coloured pencils are still being overlooked here in Australia but making a slow rise in the art sector.

  • I have won a few competitions in groups on Facebook, which has worked as a boost for me as a coloured pencil artist.

  • Last year (2017) I received Highly Commended in the Kyneton Daffodil Festival with 'The Light Within' done purely using Prismacolor pencils on Arches HP Watercolour paper.

  • I have since entered (2018) into a couple of group exhibitions with some of my coloured pencil art.

  • Earlier this year, I was invited to submit a couple of works into the Equus Film Festival in America, both of which are done in coloured pencil. At this stage it is too early to say how it all went as submission closes on the 14th of August.
