‘Barbara's Bouquet’

11 x 14

using Polychromos and Prisma Colored pencils on Fabriano Artisitioo 140lb HP WC paper

this piece was included in the May 2017 issue of "Color" magazine

It's been hard for me to tie myself down to one specific area of work. I like it all you might say. I have done more work lately in the area of western art.

  • My colored pencil artwork was juried into last year’s Mountain Oyster Show held in Tucson Arizona. It is a national art show and I was quite pleased to have made it in although my work did not receive an award.

  • I did have a drawing included in the May 2017 issue of "Color" magazine. The piece I entered was called "Barbara's Bouquet" and was a tribute to my mother who has passed.

  • Two others of my drawings have also made it as "finalist" status in that magazine competition. I have not been working in colored pencil that long, so I don't have as many pieces entered in competition.
