Bio

At 16 Susan went to Carlisle Art College, and after 4 years She came out the other side with a Northern Diploma in Applied Design and an HND in Textile Design and Fashion. After a few years working in uninspiring jobs Susan went back to college, and after 2 years gained a HND in Business Studies with Tourism. Susan then worked in an office environment for over 15 years, but she always felt a need to create things (mainly craft orientated). After a chance viewing on YouTube of some coloured pencil artists in 2017, combined with the idea of a wedding anniversary present of her friends’ dogs, this very quickly turned into a small part time commission-based business. Susan's artwork is mainly pet portraits and is very heavily inspired by other pet portrait and wildlife artists, however she also takes inspiration from 'everywhere' and is striving to be the best she can by learning new techniques and styles. There just isn't enough time to put down onto paper what is buzzing around in Susan's head!
