Bio
I have loved art all my life, since my first published drawing at the age of 14, I have never had a hiatus from the creative process. I was born in Brisbane in 1957 and have lived in every State and Territory in Australia and I also lived for six years in Malaysia. My travel experience, coupled with my love of photography has given me a broad outlook on the world and I hope this passion is reflected in my art. I am a husband, father and grandfather.
Being an artist gives me a different approach to how I see things. I see textures and light dancing around nearly everything I see. This has always played a part in all the mediums I have used over the decades. I have painted in oils, acrylics, watercolours, drawn with graphite, charcoal, inks and washes and always lurking behind all this was an avid interest in colour pencils. I am proud to say that colour pencils have won my heart.
I am proud to call myself a “Pencil Painter”, and I wear that self-confessed badge with pride.
