Kate Jenvey SAA AFC CPCAM is a realistic pencil artist and oil painter using nature as her inspiration. Her artistic interest began early as she grew to love and admire the animals that were part of her childhood in East Africa. Her passion for Africa remains strong and influences much of her work today. After settling in Australia, Kate’s rural lifestyle and the native wildlife have also wound their way into her intricate pencil work and colourful paintings.

Kate’s passion for art overflows into teaching on a private level, at her home studio and also with external workshops throughout each year, including the local regional art gallery, that are attended by aspiring artists of mixed ages. She finds that teaching is a very fulfilling and rewarding component of being an artist. She has been Artist in Residence at the National Museum of Wildlife Art and has been part of many juried group shows and exhibitions gleaning numerous awards along the way. Kate has had three solo shows. Her work is in many private homes and collections in Australia and abroad. She is currently a signature member of The Society of Animal Artists and Artists for Conservation and a master member of the Coloured Pencil Community of Australasia.
