Julie is a professional artist with a deep love of nature and animals which is where she finds the inspiration for her work. Although she uses several mediums and sometimes mixes them together, Julie has developed a passion for colored pencil, for its preciseness and quality when rendering the details of animals.

Julie has been using colored pencil since 2002 after seeing a fellow artist’s artwork and she has not looked back since, finding new surfaces and techniques to work with and discovering the delights and potential of the humble colored pencil.  This in turn means that Julie’s skill and knowledge  are regularly required for workshops and demonstrations in colored pencil and enables her to promote colored pencil as a fine art medium.
