I am a 62 year old housewife and Great Grand Mother who loves to draw and do other ‘crafty’ things. I have been drawing since I was old enough to pick up a pencil. I have never had any formal art training and didn’t draw anything for 40 years whilst working, bringing up a family and all that.
I picked up (graphite) pencils again about 6 years ago after being made redundant. I very soon picked up a set of coloured pencils and have been hooked ever since. I now do a few commissions and draw mainly for pleasure.
I am inspired by the natural world and I try to project the beauty I see or feel onto the canvas. With each new piece I try to learn something from it and strive to do better each time.
In 2018 my work was featured in Ann Kullberg’s Color Magazine
In 2019 I was asked to write a ‘Step by Step’ tutorial for Ann Kullberg’s Color Magazine
